Chateau d’Auguste, 8 am, Friday. Augustienne is spiking Augustlet’s hair in preparation for a day at preschool.
Augustlet: (Bemused and resigned simultaneously) This hair will make the girls go crazy!
Anyway, Augustlet and I would like, on this Friday, to share some entertainment with you. I have referenced Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends on this blog before, but I’ve been saving the pure joy that is the following for a good day, and this seems like a good day. If you have 22 minutes, by all means, watch the following three videos in order, and if you’re not short of breath from laughing by halfway through the second video, then you’re in desperate need of a recapturing of your youth.
(The setup, for those who are unfamiliar, is that Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends takes in all the Imaginary Friends whose kids outgrew them and tries to find them homes. Mac is a kid who didn’t want to give up his imaginary friend, so Bloo, who is blue, gets to stay there as long as Mac comes to visit every day. That’s about all the setup you need. Seriously, you should watch it.)
Update: One other vital plot point: The bird’s name is Coco. She only says “coco.” You’ll see what I mean.
